Tales from the Trails: Three Things to Explore this November

Sippo Lake Parkrun (every Saturday until April 11, 2020)

Sippo Lake parkrun is the second parkrun in Ohio appealing to runners, walkers, dog owners and families. This community event gives everyone a reason to enjoy time outside in a local park and improve their health and fitness.

Families can enjoy parkrun together. Kids aged 4 upwards are welcome to walk or run (staying with a parent if under 11). And younger kids can join in, too, as strollers are welcome. Four-legged family members are not overlooked. Dogs can take part too (one dog per person, on a short leash).

Hiking Hills: Wetmore Trail (Sunday, November 17)

For anyone looking to get their heart rate up and legs moving, these hikes are fast paced and fitness focused on hilly and rocky trails. Distances will vary. This week, challenge yourself for 7 miles on the unpaved and hilly, terrain of the Wetmore Trail. Learn more here.

Tobogganing Opening Day (Friday, November 29)

Tobogganing officially opens for the season on Friday, November 29!

Experience the icy thrill of tobogganing at The Chalet in Mill Stream Run Reservation. The twin, 700-foot refrigerated ice chutes operate with or without snow through early March, weather permitting. More info at clevelandmetroparks.com/tchutes.
